A MATTER OF TASTE

Consider the lady’s taste in jewellery. Does she have classic taste or prefer more contemporary designs? Does her sense of style lean towards antique or period styles, such as art deco or Victorian? Also, does she favour white or yellow metals? With more than 400 rings in the showroom, our consultants can easily find the right piece to match her personal style.

A CUT ABOVE

Settling on the cut of the stone is another personal decision. The fancier Cushion and Radiant cuts are currently surging in popularity, while the traditional Round Brilliant has a timeless appeal and the square Princess cut is always in favour. The shape of the stone will also influence the design of the setting and the ring itself.

ONE SIZE FITS HER

Given there’s a lot riding over the moment he’s planning, a gentleman shopping for a surprise engagement ring is often apprehensive over finger size. The best option is to covertly bring in one of her rings for us to measure, but if that’s impossible, an approximation of her hand size is fine. And relax, we can quickly and conveniently resize the ring once she says ‘yes’!
